WHAT IS BSPED?

The Berkeley Special Education Parents Network (BSPED) represents families of students in the Berkeley Unified School District (BUSD) who have special educational needs. BSPED goals are to:

advocate for disabled students in the district
share information and resources
provide support for families of disabled students by helping to ensure that all eligible students receive appropriate services.

If you are already a member of BSPED and your email address has changed in the past year, PLEASE send us your updated information so that we don't miss you. Several e-tree addresses have bounced back as undeliverable recently.

If BSPED is new to you, or you know someone who can benefit by knowing us, or our families could benefit by knowing them, please contact us or forward this information to others.

Membership costs nothing and is open to ALL interested in improving education for students with special educational needs in our community. ( We are parents, grandparents, special & general ed students, siblings, teachers, IA's, administrators, BUSD Board Directors, disability rights advocates...)
